Six of the Best... Most Beautiful Actresses

Seven weeks. That's all it took for this feature to get onto the topic of sexy ladies. If I'm honest, I'm surprised that I managed to hold out for as long as I did. This week's topic has been the most fun to research but the most difficult to decide on so far. Even up to a couple of minutes before I started writing there was a last minute change (sorry Oona) and I've decided to break the rules slightly because of my indecisiveness/perviness. Instead of the usual six I've chosen twelve and in a vain attempt to quantify the decision besides greediness, I've decided to feature six current and six former actresses. I brand myself on reviewing one hundred years of film so it would only be right. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. For fear of losing my female readers who may think (rightly) that I'm just using this feature as an excuse to look at pretty ladies, next week's list will redress the balance and feature Six of the Best... Actors my Girlfriend Wishes I Was. Her six currently also stands at twelve and there are lots of 'ooh' 'ahh' and 'yummy' noises coming from her direction whenever I bring up the topic. So make sure you come back next week for the actors but now, here are Six (Twelve) of the Best... Most Beautiful Actresses, beginning with those still working.

  1. Megan Fox? Really? Okay...other than that, nice list mate! For me, it'd include Emma Watson for sure, Jennifer Lawrence, Natalie Portman and Yvonne Strahovski.

    1. My friend was annoyed about Watson's absence but for me she still looks loke a child. Lawrence does nothing for me. She looks too much like my sister!

  2. I can see how that might ruin her a little for you haha! For me, Megan Fox is simply too trashy and dumb. I don't get the hype. Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Alba are pretty nice too.

    1. Yep, can't go wrong with Kate Beckinsale. She was one of the many on my initial list.

      I know what you mean about Megan Fox She lacks the glamour of the others but I still think she's very attractive.

  3. Thumbs up for Scarlett and Penelope Cruz, and of the current crop I'm one of the few people who's quite partial to Kristen Stewart too.

    If you're talking ladies of an older vintage I've long considered Michelle Pfeiffer to be the most beautiful actress in Hollywood. Claudia Cardinale, Kim Novak, Catherine Deneuve are also worthy of mention. I almost forgot to mention Ava Gardner as well.

    1. Ava Gardner was on my long list. As was Catherine Deneuve. I had to be strict. This feature could have easily turned into Sixty of the Best...

  4. I agree with all of them except Zooey. Yeh she's cute, but hardly noteworthy. How about Marion Cotillard and Charlize Theron?

    1. Nah. Zooey all the way. I'm told she looks like my girlfriend and although I don't really see it, a woman asked her if she was her on the Staten Island Ferry.

      Cotillard was one of two which just missed out.

  5. I just found this site today (it’s March ‘24), & I’m enjoying it immensely!!!

    I’ve always considered the 2 MOST Beautiful women of Classic Hollywood to be ( in no particular order):
    *Hedy Lamarr, which you had;
    *Gene Tierney, which you missed

    Lamarr was truly beautiful AND intelligent: she co-invented ( & held the Patent) for the base technology that became cellular mobile!!!
    Tierney had a mesmerizing beauty & was JFK’s girlfriend before he entered politics…
